This course is for every horse owner looking to understand their horse better. But especially for those who have horses dealing with emotional obstacles, such as horses coming out of a rescue situation or those that come across as very anxious or aggressive.
Overcoming Behavioural Challenges is designed to help horse owners understand the “Why?” behind the behaviours they see. When it comes to “problem” behaviour we are often taught a symptom-based approach; the horse rears so you must do XYZ to stop the rearing. We aren’t taught to search for the underlying core issue, which is what we should actually be addressing, or how to positively deal with such situations that build the horse-human relationship instead of breaking it down. It’s important to understand the behaviour before trying to solve the problem so that we can help the horse long term.
In this course, I give you practical steps to handling undesired behaviours in a positive and force-free manner and I will also teach you how to search for the core issue behind the “problem” behaviour you are seeing. Further, you’ll learn to understand the learning process, the development of the behaviour, the emotions, the motivation and so much more. And as a bonus, you’ll also receive my e-book, ‘Hopefully Positive’, to assist you further on this journey, as well as a Behavioural challenges checklist which will help you get to the root cause faster.

This is a well presented, informative course, I already have the Natural Animal Centres stage 1 in Equine Behaviour. This was more for CPD than anything else but I liked how the assigments were done - apart from having no feedback on scores. I only found out I passed the first assignment when the course let me into the next module. Well worth doing if you have a horse with challenging behaviour.

Yes, courses over €29 offer two options for payment terms.
- One-time payment – pay upfront for your course and nothing else.
- Fortnightly payments – payments are made every 2 weeks in the amount specified on your course. You pay 1 instalment upon enrolling, the next instalment is then due in 2 weeks and the final payment due 2 weeks after that. Payments are automatically deducted from your PayPal account
No, there are no checks made and you will not pay any interest on payments. There is a nominal €1 processing fee, which is added to the total balance.
